We have handled cases across Oregon involving issues that arise from business disputes, auto accidents, alleged construction defects, personal injury claims and professional malpractice claims. In some instances, we are retained by an insurance company on behalf of our clients. In other instances, our clients do not have insurance and retain us directly.

Below are examples of some of the cases, which we have successfully handled.

The Association of Unit Owners of The Village at North Pointe Condominiums v. Bloedel Construction Co., et al., Lincoln County Circuit Court

We represented the general contractor and developer. The case was tried before a Lincoln County jury with the Honorable Judge Branford presiding. The trial started on January 4, 2011 and ended March 17, 2011 and involved allegations of construction defects and a number of other claims. The Plaintiff asked the jury to award $4.1 million against our clients. The jury found in our clients’ favor on every claim, and the court awarded our clients’ attorney fees incurred in defending the case.

Boehm v. Oregon Pacific Steel and Metals, Multnomah County Circuit Court

We represented a metal recycling company, which operated a scrap metal business in Portland, Oregon. The Plaintiff alleged that our client was negligent in operating machinery and moving equipment, which resulted in significant permanent injuries to the Plaintiff. We contended that our client had not acted negligently. The trial was held in Multnomah County with the Honorable Judge Rees presiding. The Plaintiff asked the jury to award $4.9 million against our client. The jury found in our client’s favor on all claims.

Stanton v. Stanley, et al., Deschutes County Circuit Court

Dan and Jim represented the general contractor. The Plaintiff alleged that our client was negligent in constructing a home for the Plaintiff. The trial was held in Lincoln County with the Honorable Judge Bell presiding. The Plaintiff asked the jury to award $490,000.00. The jury returned a verdict of $35,000.00, which was substantially less than an offer made before trial.

Christiansen and Christiansen v. Redding Construction, Inc., et al., Marion County Circuit Court

We represented a subcontractor, which had installed stucco on a commercial building. We defended claims brought both by the Plaintiff and the general contractor. The trial was held in Marion County with the Honorable Judge Mertens James presiding. The Complaint sought $323,166.73. The jury found in our client’s favor on all claims.

Magana v. Harris, Benton County Circuit Court

We defended an individual in this case. Our client was being sued as a result of an automobile accident. The trial was held in Benton County, Oregon with the Honorable Judge Donohue presiding. The Plaintiff’s Complaint sought $95,301.00. The jury returned a verdict for $9,500.00, which was less than the offer made before trial.
